How to Use Insurance Panda
Last Updated on May 5, 2021
Insurance Panda is an auto insurance quote comparison service.
Using the quote comparison tool at InsurancePanda.com, you will be able to compare auto insurance quotes from multiple companies. Comparing quotes helps you save on your auto insurance rates by matching you with the lowest-cost providers in your area.
Using Insurance Panda is as simple as 1-2-3:
- Enter your zip code at the top of our site.
- Enter some brief information about yourself and the vehicle you drive.
- Compare quotes from different insurance providers.
This is a simple three-step process, but if you are still confused about how it works, let’s walk you through each step.
Step 1 – Enter Your Zip Code
At the top of every page, there is a small form titled, Get Free Insurance Quotes.
Go ahead and enter your zip code into that box and click on Get Free Quote. We ask you for your zip code because where you live is one of the most important factors that determine your insurance rates. Neighborhoods high in crime and higher in traffic will see higher insurance rates than safe, quiet neighborhoods. You can learn more about your zip code’s impact on your insurance rates here.
Step 2 – Tell Us About Yourself and Your Vehicle
After entering your zip code, we need to know a bit about yourself and your car.
Click Your Vehicle Year
First up is vehicle year, which is another important factor in determining your rates. Newer cars are usually more expensive to insure. Please click on the year your car was manufactured when you come to this screen:
Click Your Vehicle Make and Model
Next, we need to know your vehicle make and model. The type of car you drive has a huge effect on how much you will pay for your insurance rates. Small, economical cars with affordable repair rates typically see the lowest average insurance premiums. Please click on your vehicle’s make and model on the following screens:
Choose if You Want to Insure a Second Vehicle
If you insure multiple vehicles, you will be eligible for insurance discounts, so please let us know if you have another car you need to insure on this screen:
Click if You’ve Had Insurance in the Past 30 Days
Next, please let us know if you’ve had insurance through another company within the past 30 days. Don’t worry! Even if you still have insurance coverage through another provider, you should still be able to switch providers mid-policy.
Click Whether You Are Male or Female
Typically, females see lower auto insurance rates, but don’t worry! Even if you are a male, we should still be able to help you save on your premiums. Please click on your gender when you see this screen:
Click if You Are Married
Married drivers usually see lower auto insurance rates. Statistics show that married drivers get in fewer accidents and drive at lower speeds. If you are married, please let us know when you see this screen:
Click if You Are a Homeowner
Homeowners can take advantage of many auto insurance discounts that aren’t offered to renters. Also, if you own your own home, you can bundle your homeowners’ insurance with your auto insurance to save even more on your policy. Please let us know if you are a homeowner and are interested in bundling options on the following two screens:
Let Us Know About Your Driving History
Your driving history is one of the most important factors determining how much you’ll pay for auto insurance. At-fault accidents, traffic violations, and DUI convictions, if you have them, will each have a negative impact on your premiums. Please let us know if you, or anyone on your policy, have had any of them in the past 3 years when you get to this screen:
Tell Us Your Birthday
Your age also affects your monthly premiums. Teenagers and drivers under age 25 can expect to pay the most for coverage. Elderly drivers will also pay high rates. Drivers in their 40s and 50s, however, typically spend the least on car insurance.
Please let us know your date of birth when you get to this screen:
Tell Us Your Name, Email, Address, and Phone Number
Please enter your name, email, address, and phone number on the next two screens. These won’t have any effect on your insurance rates. It’ll simply help us contact you to give you your quotes. Once done, click on Get My Auto Quotes.
Step 3 – Compare Quotes and Find the Cheapest Rates
After completing the form and clicking on Get My Auto Quotes, you will be given quotes from different providers.
Remember that the cheapest auto insurance company probably won’t provide you with the best coverage. Likewise, major auto insurance providers are not always better than smaller ones. You’ll have to do your research on the companies listed before deciding where to buy your policy.
