App Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete information saved by the Insurance Panda mobile app and how to request deletion of information held by Insurance Panda or the third-party insurance quote providers you use.

The Insurance Panda mobile app does not require an account or login. The instructions below apply to Version 2 of the app. If you are still using Version 1, its More screen contains the earlier Clear Reminder and Clear Saved Profile options. Updating from Version 1 to Version 2 preserves previously saved information rather than automatically deleting it.

Information Stored on Your Device

Depending on how you use the app, Insurance Panda may save the following information locally on your device:

  • A ZIP code you choose to remember
  • A policy renewal date or shopping-reminder date
  • Reminder time, notification preferences, and notification status
  • Previously saved Version 1 quote-profile answers, such as insurance status, age range, vehicle type, driving record, coverage preferences, and a reported premium

These app records remain on your device and are not synchronized to an Insurance Panda account. Depending on your device and settings, earlier device backups may contain copies of locally saved information.

Delete Saved Quote Information

To remove your remembered ZIP code and any retained Version 1 quote-profile answers:

  1. Open the Insurance Panda app.
  2. Tap Profile.
  3. Under Settings and app information, select Clear saved quote information.
  4. Confirm the deletion.

This action removes your saved quote information but does not delete your Renewal information or cancel a scheduled reminder.

Delete a Renewal or Shopping Reminder

  1. Open the Insurance Panda app.
  2. Tap Renewal.
  3. Select Remove reminder.
  4. Follow the confirmation instructions.

This removes the saved reminder information and cancels its scheduled notification. Your saved quote information remains available unless you delete it separately.

Delete All Locally Saved App Information

To remove both saved quote information and Renewal information:

  1. Open the Insurance Panda app.
  2. Tap Profile.
  3. Under Settings and app information, select Clear all app data.
  4. Confirm the deletion.

This removes the app’s locally saved quote and Renewal information and cancels its scheduled reminders. If any part of the operation fails, the app will tell you what still needs attention.

Turning off the option to remember a ZIP code only stops future ZIP prefill; it is not the same as clearing all app data. Deleting app information on one device does not necessarily delete copies included in earlier device backups or information on other devices.

Information Submitted Through Insurance Quote Forms

Information you submit after leaving the app for an online insurance quote is handled separately from information saved locally in the app.

QuoteWizard operates the embedded auto-insurance quote form linked from Insurance Panda. QuoteWizard collects and retains personal information submitted through that form and may sell or share insurance leads and associated information with insurance companies, agents, advertising partners, data brokers, and other recipients, including for marketing purposes beyond the initial quote request. Insurance Panda does not receive the personal lead information submitted through the QuoteWizard-operated form.

Deleting data inside the Insurance Panda app does not delete information you previously submitted to QuoteWizard or information held by insurance companies, agents, or other recipients.

Request Deletion of QuoteWizard Information

For access, deletion, or other privacy requests concerning information submitted through the QuoteWizard-operated form, follow the instructions in the LendingTree Privacy Policy. The applicable organization may need to verify your identity and may retain certain information where permitted or required by law.

If an insurer, agent, or another organization has received your information, you may also need to contact that organization directly. A request sent to one organization does not automatically remove information held by every recipient.

Request Deletion of Information Held by Insurance Panda

For information held directly by Insurance Panda, including information associated with its separate website account features or communications, you can contact us:

Please briefly describe your request so we can identify any relevant Insurance Panda records. We may need to verify your identity. Do not send Social Security numbers or payment information through the general contact form.

We handle requests for information we hold in accordance with applicable privacy laws, including any lawful retention, security, fraud-prevention, compliance, or recordkeeping exceptions. We cannot directly delete records held independently by QuoteWizard or an insurance provider.

Important Distinctions

Deleting locally saved app data, deleting website records, clearing browser cookies, and opting out of marketing calls or messages are separate actions. Clearing the app does not withdraw an insurance quote request or automatically stop communications from third parties. Use the privacy and opt-out instructions provided by the organization that holds your information or contacts you.
